'Wednesday' Is Doing Dreadfully Wonderful On Netflix

Tim Burton, Jenna Ortega, and everyone behind Wednesday, have something to celebrate as the show enjoys the top spot, after its premiere last week on Netflix.

Viewers have flocked to the Addams Family inspired series, having racked up over 300 million hours of viewing in just one week. Wednesday has managed to wrangle the top spot out of the hands of Stranger Things, but remains second, just behind The Witcher, for pre-release followers.

The eight-episode tale, from the mind of Tim Burton, is centered around Wednesday Addams, daughter to Morticia and Gomez Addams, sister to Pugsley, and her new experiences at the only school that will take her, Nevermore Academy. Wednesday has enjoyed quite the buzz even before its premiere last week. An announcement of the show's development in October of 2020 and a fantastic teaser trailer that made the rounds in August, helped to build a much deserved hype around the new series.

Starring Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, and Riki Lindhome, the first season of Wednesday is available to watch now over on Netflix.
