Was there any doubt in your mind that a sixth Scream would be made? Not in mine, and definitely not after the fan reception to the fifth film released last month on January 14th.
Paramount Pictures and Spyglass have greenlit the next film in the series, saying that the creative team behind Scream, will be back for the next film. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, along with writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, will return and bring fans the next chapter in the Ghostface/Woodsboro saga.
Radio Silence, the collective made up of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella, released a statement saying, “Working with such a wonderful and talented family of creators—and in the lineage Wes [Craven] and Kevin [Williamson] so expertly built—has been the thrill of a lifetime, and we’re so excited to bring the next chapter in the Scream saga to life.”
More will come as the film begins pre-production, and you'll read about here on Horror Junket.
