Jenna Ortega Talks With Entertainment Tonight About Upcoming 'Scream' Sequel

Scream star Jenna Ortega sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Denny Directo to talk about her upcoming projects, and to shed a little more light on the sixth film in the Scream franchise, due out next year.

Pressed for an answer about Sidney's whereabouts in Scream 6, Jenna Ortega instead let Denny Directo down easy and instead spoke about the film itself. "I will say there's so much going on in this next one, that it's so action-heavy and so gore-heavy that I think you're gonna be distracted almost," says the actress.

This is good news for Scream fans because, let's face it, Scream is nothing without a lot of blood. Back in June, The Babysitter: Killer Queen actress sat down with ET and said, " Ghostface gets a lot more intimidating. I just read part of the script, and it just gets more and more gory. I think that this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we've ever seen, which I think will really be fun to shoot."

Jenna Ortega is fresh off a string of horror hits with Ti West's X, Scream earlier this year, and her soon-to-come Wednesday series on Netflix. You can see her return to Scream as Tara Carpenter, next year when the film enjoys its new release date on March 10, 2023.
