Jason Blum And James Wan Are In Talks To Join Forces For The Good of Horror

Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster have been churning out horror hits for some time now and that output is about to increase with a merger of the two powerhouses of horror.

“We really do complement each other, yin and yang, which is part of what makes this so exciting,” says James Wan to the New York Times, about his partnership and merger with Jason Blum and Blumhouse Productions.

Both production companies will retain their individual names, working side-by-side to bring fans of the spookiest genre ever, more content that will include movies, TV series, and video games.

Blumhouse is home to terrifying hits like the Insidious and Purge franchises, and the recent Halloween trilogy that concluded horribly. Atomic Monster is well known for their slew of recent Conjuring films, and the Annabelle franchise that helped bring about a second wave of doll fear not seen since Child's Play in the late 1980's.

It will be exciting to see what comes about from this merger of two titans of horror. Horror fans can get a taste of things to come when M3gan, produced by Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, releases early next year on January 6.
