The lead role in AMC's upcoming Mayfair Witches goes to Alexandra Daddario, who has been cast in the series adaptation of Anne Rice's The Lives of the Mayfair Witches series of novels.
Alexandra Daddario will play Rowan Mayfair, a neurosurgeon who belongs to a powerful family of witches, a bloodline that goes back many generations, having called New Orleans home for most of that time.
Developed by AMC as part of their Anne Rice universe for both TV and AMC+, the Mayfair Witches series was first announced back in December of last year. Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford will serve as executive producers and writers for the series, Esta Spaulding taking the role of showrunner.
Mayfair Witches will premiere with eight episodes in the first season, with the series eyeing a release date later this year.
