Luke Perry was a one of a kind actor who had a collection of film roles under his belt, showing up in the audience favorite The Fifth Element (1997) and his latest, unseen role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).
Luke Perry will always be known for his role of Dylan McKay on the teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 and according to Perry he is okay with that. Perry has quite the roster when it comes to television roles and some of his best were in dramas like Oz (1997) and lately in Riverdale (2017). Though not signed on as a full time gig, Perry had agreed to guest spots on the upcoming reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210 and it’s sad to know that cast will never be complete again.
Though Perry was not an adamant staple of the horror film and television genres he did have a few roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), which had a handful of scares and The Triangle (2001) a horror thriller that was made for television and co-starring Olivia d’Abo.
Admitted to the hospital a couple days ago, Perry suffered a stroke that he would never recover from. Those from all around Hollywood and the world have given their condolences and we here at Horror Junket give ours. Luke Perry will truly be missed, his shining star gone out too soon.
