I'm so happy that it's October. Anyways, it's good to see you again for what should be another exciting Horrific Recap, having to do with most of what was horror from last week. If you haven't done so yet, go ahead and grab your fright pillow tightly—a little tighter now, as we dive into last week's horror starting with...

The official gameplay trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 VR experience was released to YouTube today, and just when you thought RE4 couldn't get any scarier, well, you know what usually happens.

Available only on the Oculus Quest 2, Leon Kennedy will return once again to save the President's daughter in what should be a VR European nightmare. First released back in 2005, Resident Evil 4 has appeared on most every major console released throughout the years. Like Skyrim, Resident Evil 4 is the game that just won't faded away gracefully into video game history.

Resident Evil 4 VR will be available exclusively on the Oculus Quest 2 next month on October 21.

As the premiere date for the upcoming Chucky nears, those behind the killer doll television series have been dropping sneak peeks left and right. For your viewing pleasure, here is a look at Chucky and his return to school.

September 30 - Thursday

Seriously! Rob Zombie has been great with the updates on his latest film, a personal project of his, The Munsters.

Once again the hellbilly rocker, director and writer turns to Instagram to post the now complete exterior of the Munster family home. To a keen eye, one can see that the home was built to resemble, if not identically, the house from the original television series that sat at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

It has been a pleasure to watch this house come together and really, kudos to Rob Zombie for being involved enough with his fans to detail such an awesome undertaking with the pictures that he has posted.

Any fans asking for a new Friday the 13th film for the last couple years have been met with nothing, this due to the horror franchise's rights being tied up in the legal system since 2018.

Well, all that could change now that the rights are out of appeals and back in the hands of creator, Victor Miller. Word comes from The Hollywood Reporter, that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will allow Miller to retain the franchise's rights, in a decision that could allow for more projects featuring Jason Voorhees in the future.

Back in July, Corey Feldman revealed that he knew the outcome of the horror franchise's legal dispute. Feldman says that he was approached at a party explaining that guy he talked to, “He’s a lawyer, and he has resolved the rights issues around Friday the 13th, and that things are working out, and now they’ll be able to start making Friday the 13th movies again.”

Whether Corey Feldman had the inside scoop or not, the fact remains that Victor Miller owns the rights to Friday the 13th and Jason fans can look forward to seeing their favorite hockey mask wearing baddie return to theaters sometime in the next couple years.

Back 4 Blood nears its release date and just before its launch those behind the upcoming zombie shooter, drop some blood in the water by giving fans a launch trailer.

October 2 -Saturday

Scream fans, in attendance for the 25th anniversary screening of Wes Craven's Scream at the Prince Charles Cinema in London, will be treated to the official trailer for next year's fifth film in the franchise, Scream.

The already sold out screening will take place on October 11 and will be a treat for the audience, as they will be some of the earliest viewers to get a peek at what lies ahead for the much anticipated film.

Scream will see the return of the Woodsboro Three with the return of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, along with returning star from Scream 4, Marley Shelton.

That's the end of the review, horror fans. Hopefully you're all refreshed on the horror that took place last week. If there was a pop quiz, well, you might get some of it right. At the very least, you're now ready for the week of horror that lies ahead. Thank you for stopping by Horror Junket today and don't forget to stop and take a look around, especially during October when everything is just a little bit spookier and scarier—like that bloodcurdling scream you might hear off in the distance. Take care, horror fans.
