For those of you too scared to see Evil Dead Rise in theaters (I don't blame you), you can now enjoy the film from the safety of home, when Evil Dead Rise gets its digital release this week on Tuesday.
Having just recently scared up over $100 million at the box office over the weekend, Evil Dead Rise goes to show that some horror films truly deserve to have theatrical releases, and not just shoved off to streaming.
Written and directed by Lee Cronin, Evil Dead Rise takes the franchise in a new direction. Rather than being set in a cabin in the woods like the original films, this installment takes place in an apartment in the inner city, adding a fresh twist to the familiar Evil Dead concept not seen since Army of Darkness or Ash vs Evil Dead. The film features a new cast of characters in Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher, a family that faces off against the supernatural forces that have haunted the franchise since its inception.
Evil Dead Rise, the latest blood-soaked entry in the Evil Dead franchise gets its digital release this Tuesday, May 9th.
