NEW ROLE: Cary Elwes Joins 'Black Christmas' Remake

No stranger to gore and horror, Cary Elwes joins the Blumhouse Productions retelling of the cult classic 1974 holiday sorority slasher, Black Christmas.

According to Deadline's Geoff Boucher, "Elwes joins a cast led by Imogen Poots and featuring Aleyse Shannon, Brittany O’Grady, Lily Donoghue, and Caleb Eberhardt. Sophia Takal is set to direct working off a script she wrote with April Wolfe. Filming begins soon in New Zealand."

Elwes, who has a good number of horror roles under his belt with SAW, SAW: 3D and Dracula, is sure to help the scares that will see a group of sorority girls, stalked by a killer, who refuse to go down without a fight. With a release date of December 13, we can expect this holiday horror fright to fit right in with the Christmas season to come later this year.
