Universal and Blumhouse have come together to bring a new telling to the Bob Clark classic, Black Christmas (1974), a horror tale set in December that sees a group of sorority sisters killed one by one by the deranged Billy. This time around though, director and writer Sophia Takal has given Black Christmas some new holiday spirit.
With a trailer much like the holiday season that gives and gives, this telling of Black Christmas will host a group of girls that will flip the script when it comes to backing down from killer stalkers. In the trailer, there appears to be no more mention of Billy but we do get a look at Cary Elwes in his role of professor and possible murderous fraternity leader. We also get a look at the killer, or is it killers? I guess we'll see but it seems like with these sorority sisters, if you mess with one, you mess with the whole crew.
Starring Imogen Poots, Lily Donoghue, Aleyse Shannon and Brittany O’Grady, Black Christmas will be in theaters to beat and bloody up your holiday season, December 13th.
