A New 'Scream VI' Poster For The New Year

A new poster just released for Scream VI, the sixth entry in the franchise, and it appears to have taken inspiration from New York City's intricate subway system.

It's a truly wonderful poster to admire because the longer you look at it, the more that gets revealed. With each colorful line representing one of six films in the saga, a person could spend a good amount of time looking at the different routes, while recalling all the events tied to each name listed as a stop along the way.

Cici Cooper, for example, the sorority girl played perfectly by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was stabbed in the back and then thrown over the balcony of her sorority house by Ghostface in Scream 2.

How about Roman Bridger from Scream 3? Right there at the top of the yellow line on the poster, Roman was played brilliantly by Scott Foley. But wasn't it weird how his body was discovered, however, he was never shown being killed by Ghostface on camera or off? Yeah, that twist almost got me.

Who could forget Detective Perkins? Played by Anthony Anderson, the poor guy was stabbed in the forehead after pulling a prank on his partner, who was slaughtered as well come to think of it. You can clearly see why this poster works, serving as a great marketing tool for the upcoming Scream VI, right?

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Scream VI will also see the return of writers, James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, who once again craft a Scream story based on characters created by executive producer for the film, Kevin Williamson.

Scream VI will see the return of Scream (2022) actors Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Scream saga alum, Courteney Cox, as well as the return of Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed.

Scream VI is produced by Paramount Pictures, Radio Silence Productions, and Project X Entertainment, and will be released to theaters nationwide on Friday, March 10.
