GAMING: The Exorcist Legion VR

Updated: Sep 9, 2021

I have not been paying enough attention to video games and I should have, especially for this next one.

Come November, six plus months away, the frightening VR experience that puts the player into the harrowing universe created by William Peter Blatty, will be two years old.

The Exorcist: Legion VR is an episodic experience available now on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Developed by Wolf & Wood Interactive, this frightening virtual reality experience immerses the player in a world of demons, the religious, and the supernatural.

Our player takes on the role of a homicide detective for the Boston P.D. The player’s objective is to search for clues in different settings, while around them a demonic force is at work. No VR experience about The Exorcist would be complete without demons and shadowy figures crawling after you and The Exorcist: Legion VR delivers on this, along with numerous other scares.

Already released back in November of 2017, The Exorcist: Legion VR has been collecting scares and I for one am surprised that it had flown under the radar for so long. While gameplay and story are short in the episodes of this VR experience, the player nonetheless gets the scares they are looking for with this horrifying title that, shame on me, has gone unmentioned until now.
