BUZZ: Stephen King Writing New Ending For CBS All Access' 'The Stand'

Nellie Andreeva of Deadline reports that Stephen King will be writing a new ending for limited series The Stand, that will release on CBS All Access streaming service.

King is well known for not being the biggest fan of how he ended his 1978 horror/fantasy novel, though some fans will disagree. It appears King will be getting his chance to change things around because Josh Boone, director and writer for the series, will be letting King write the tenth and final episode. "This episode will contain a story that takes us beyond the book," says CBS All Access executive vice president Julie McNamara, "(It's) a continuation to The Stand, I can’t wait to share that with the world.” And we can't wait to see it! The Stand will star James Marsden and Amber Heard with a release date yet to be announced.
