CANNES: Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining' In 4k Is Set For Cannes

Stanley Kubrick's horror classic was restored and updated to 4k by Warner Bros. using the original 35mm film print. The 4k restoration will travel to France where it will show along side the Dennis Hopper directed American tale, Easy Rider.


Alfonso Cuaron director of such great films like Y Tu Mama Tambien and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, will premiere The Shining at midnight.


Cannes Film Festival runs from May 14 through May 25.
