'Scream VI' Official Poster And Teaser Trailer Are Here!
The latest film in the Scream franchise recently revealed its title as Scream VI, kicking numbers to the curb in favor of Roman numerals this time around. Fans now have more to get excited about with the release of Scream VI's official poster, and a teaser trailer with some serious Terror Train vibes.
Scream VI takes audiences to The Big Apple next year, as the survivors from the fifth Scream film travel to New York City, quite possibly in an attempt to get as much distance between them and Woodsboro as they can. Can that ever really be in Scream films, though?
Set on the subway in the famous undergrounds of the big city, the quick peek into Scream VI shows that no matter how far survivors go to get away, Ghostface is always close behind. Scream audiences can expect more blood and gore in the sixth film, a talking point that has been touched on in the past by those involved in the film. Will we be getting a subway tunnel full of blood, similar to the elevators in The Shining?
Scream VI brings back Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett as the film's directors, and James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick as the film's writers. Kevin Williamson will serve as executive producer.
Returning cast from Scream include Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Courteney Cox, with Hayden Panettiere returning as Kirby Reed from Scream 4. New cast for Scream VI will include Samara Weaving, Tony Revolori, and Dermot Mulroney.
I wish we could have gone back to using numbers in the titles, but at this point it's a small gripe I have with a film that looks like it's going to be all that and a bag of chips. Coming to theaters next year from Paramount Pictures, Scream VI will be available to watch on Friday, March 10, 2023.
