Ray Liotta Has Passed Away at 67

Very surprising news today, you could even say unexpected, but actor Ray Liotta has passed away today, leaving behind a filmography of so many great films and performances.

Sure you know Ray Liotta from Goodfellas, but the versatile actor also had a number of horror films under his belt. Fans of the spookiest genre can definitely recall Ray's work as Paul Krendler in 2001's Hannibal, and as Rhodes in the psychological thriller, Identity. Even his work in 1997's Turbulence, was terrifying to watch. Ray Liotta could play crazy and sinister very well.

Born in December of 1954, Ray was adopted by Mary and Alfred Liotta and raised in New Jersey. Liotta studied acting at the University of Miami, where he met fellow actor Steven Bauer. It was during the 1980s and 1990s, that both actors would find leading roles in Hollywood. Ray Liotta would continue to blaze his path in the town of Hollywood, becoming an A list name in the industry.

It is with great sadness that the world says goodbye to Ray Liotta, an actor that died doing what he loved, and someone who had so much more to give to those he loved and to the fans that admired him.
