'Nope' Has a Strong Opening Weekend Taking in Over $44 Million

Jordan Peele's latest feature film, Nope, is doing very well in its first week of release, taking in over $44 million on just the weekend alone, with more coming in as the week continues.

Not leaving horror fully behind, Jordan Peele takes a more extraterrestrial approach with his third film, telling a story that centers on siblings trying to capture evidence of a spaceship that stalks the sky over their ranch. Mix in the story of a chimpanzee that goes berserk on its TV family, and it comes as no surprise to me at all, that audiences have found something to enjoy about Nope.

Starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Keith David, and Michael Wincott, Nope, starts off the week strong and I only expect excitement to build, and more money to come in, for the film that's being described as a unique twist on the sci-fi genre. As we get into the August month, and more people get out to the movies, I expect to hear more reactions and reviews for the film, which you can enjoy now, in theaters or in IMAX, at many different theater locations nationwide.
