New Line Cinema will be tackling another work by Stephen King and given the success New Line has had with adaptations from the universe of King, The Long Walk should have no problem finding an audience.

Bradley Fischer and William Sherak will be producing the film being written by James Vanderbilt, known for Zodiac and White House Down.
The book, written by King in 1979 under his short lived pseudonym Richard Bachman, focuses on a group of 100 boys who walk under the supervision of The Major, until there is one boy left. How the boys perish is treat enough to read the book.
Not much else is known for now but I would expect news of a director and a release date soon.
