The Skywalker legend may be over for Mark Hamill but that doesn’t mean he can’t breathe new life into an updated horror icon.
At Orion’s presentation today during WonderCon in Anaheim, Mark Hamill appeared before the crowd via video to announce that, “If you’re wondering who’s going to play Chucky in the new Child’s Play. You’re looking at him.”
It has always been the big question since the announcement of the Child’s Play remake. We knew Aubrey Plaza was onboard, Andy casted as well but who was going to voice Chucky? I haven’t had a question this big since the IT remake and who was going to fill the clown shoes of Pennywise.
Given Hamill’s background in voice acting and his long stint as D.C.’s best villain, the Joker, Hamill should have no problem bringing the creep factor to the newly reformed and updated Chucky.
