BUZZ: 'Manic Cop' Will Be 'Neon-Soaked' and 'Cocaine- Fueled
Updated: Sep 21, 2021
Coming in from Bloody Disgusting's own Brad Miska, HBO's newly announced Maniac Cop will be directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, who will bring a new telling of the late 80s slasher films to television.
Nicolas Winding Refn is known for his fantastic use of colors and camera work in his films. Movies like Drive (2011) and Bronson (2008) were a treat for the eye and even those that did not like the films could not deny the films style and look.
Maniac Cop should, in vein, be something similar to the neon-dipped films that Refn is known for and he has promised as much with an interview with Deadline. With no release date known it might be safe to assume that the series won't be ready until next but as news drops, you'll hopefully hear it here first. Stay tuned.
