IN MEMORIAM: Julie Adams Passes at 92

Julie Adams passed today in Los Angeles, California at the age of 92. Born Betty May Adams, she is best known for her role as Kay Lawrence in Universal’s monster flick, Creature From the Black Lagoon.
Getting her first role in 1949 on CBS Your Show Time, Adams continued to act, changing her name at the suggestion of producers from ‘Betty’ to ‘Julia.’ Julia Adams would go on to secure many roles including the one that made her famous, her role in Creature From the Black Lagoon.
Adams would again go on to change her name to ‘Julie’ and would go on to act with some of Hollywood’s greatest, big names like John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Rock Hudson.
Julie Adams, later in her career, would go on to star in television shows like Murder, She Wrote as Eve Simpson and Perry Mason and before her passing would have more than one hundred roles under her belt.
