IN MEMORIAM: Ian Holm Passes Away

BAFTA winning actor Ian Holm has passed away today in London, he was 88.

To fans of horror, Holm will forever be known as Ash, the android antagonist from a little space ditty called Alien. His backstabbing, cool-mannered tactics made him a force to be reckoned with, alongside the killer alien onboard.

Holm’s career would bring to life many memorable characters. Shakespeare’s Prince Hal and King Lear would be given the Holm treatment as well as characters from other worlds.

Fans worldwide will forever remember Holm as Bilbo Baggins from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Father Cornelius in sci-fi Luc Besson epic, The Fifth Element. Holm’s career both onstage and in front of the camera, started in his childhood and would span across decades. His works will now continue to entertain for centuries more.
