I had some concern about Courteney Cox not returning to the Scream franchise, but come on, what would a Scream film be without Gale Weathers? I hope we never find out.
Courteney Cox will be back for Scream 5, according to Deadline's Anthony D'Alessandro, joining franchise alum David Arquette, who is back as Dewey Riley. No word yet if Neve Campbell will return but it has been confirmed that creator Kevin Williamson is back as an executive producer.
Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, production on Scream 5 is set to begin in Wilmington, North Carolina, once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
